On 20 May 2015, General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand visited Putrajaya, Malaysia upon the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia to discuss with both Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and Indonesia on the issue of irregular movement of people in the region. The meeting urged for a comprehensive solution and concerted efforts in addressing the unprecedented increase of irregular migration in the region.
On 31 March 2015, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman of the National Sub-Committee on Public Relations and Legal Affairs under the Policy Committee on Human Trafficking and Illegal Fishing, gave a press conference on Thailand’s Trafficking In Persons Progress Report: January – March 2015. This report clearly demonstrates the Thai government’s steadfast commitment to fight human trafficking of all forms, which yielded concrete results within the three-month timeframe.
On 19 March 2015, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the 1st Meeting of the National Sub-Committee on Public Relations and Legal Affairs under the Policy Committee on Human Trafficking and Illegal Fishing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
On 16 March 2015, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Jesús Miguel Sanz Escorihuela, Ambassador and Head of the European Union (EU) delegation to Thailand, discussed Thai-EU relations and Thailand’s progress on combating human trafficking and Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing.
On 25 February 2015, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman of the National Sub-Committee on Public Relations and Legal Affairs under the Policy Committee on Human Trafficking and Illegal Fishing, met with key Thai NGOs to listen to discuss ways to combat human trafficking.
