On 3 December 2015, Ambassador Pisan Manawapat met with Ambassador Susan Coppedge, Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State, who recently assumed this position in October 2015. Ms. Kari Johnstone, Deputy Director of the Office and officials of the Department of State also attended the meeting.
Ambassador Pisan reiterated the Thai Government’s continued determination to work with the U.S. Government and all stakeholders to combat this serious crime and to protect victims, Thais and non-Thais.
Both sides expressed commitment to work in partnership to fight the common challenge of human trafficking.
